Charging for unused services heralds new economic dawn

The Government believes that the Electric Ireland practice of charging electricity users for electricity they don’t use could revolutionise the Irish economy.

“The practice of charging for services you don’t provide will be rolled out across all industries, private and public,” a Government source said.

“We will soon be a world-leading economy again, a golden unicorn,” he added.

The VHI will today announce plans to charge people without health insurance for not having health insurance.

“The cost of not having health insurance is expected to be similar to the cost of having health insurance,” a spokesman said.
