The Government today unveiled plans to force disabled people to emigrate by 2016.
“We’ve got rid of their mobility allowance. We’re getting rid of their home adaptation grant,” a government source said.
“And we’ll be rid of them when they emigrate*. It serves them right – everyone knows they wrecked the economy.”
“It is clear Ireland is headed in the right direction and there is light at the end of this tunnel,” Taoiseach Enda Kenny said.
*The source reluctantly accepted that the mobility allowance could be reinstated on a once-off basis to facilitate emigration.
