Senior Governmnent figures were locked in crisis talks with National Asset Management Agency executives (NAMA) and heads of all of the country’s financial institutions this evening after it emerged that former Late Late Show host Pat Kenny is claiming squatters’ rights over all of the land assets that NAMA was planning to manage.Apparently NAMA staff were visiting some of the land the agency intends to buy from Anglo Irish Bank only to find Mr Kenny, sporting dreadlocks and accompanied by a dog on a rope, already there.
NAMA immediately got its staff to attempt to secure other properties with the co-operation of all of the banks hoping to benefit from NAMA’s largesse. However, either Mr Kenny or somebody acting on his behalf somehow beat them to each and every property.
Sources close to Mr Kenny says he has a long standing interest in all of the land of Mireland and is confident that he will be able to prove himself to be the rightful owner of it.
“We don’t know how he’s doing it, he seems to be squatting everywhere,” a NAMA spokesman said. “He’s even changed the locks on my mother’s house.
