Nigella Lawson’s remarkable transformation into stand-up comedian Russell Brand has been voted the most amazing event of the noughties by readers of The Mire.
The voluptuous so-called “queen of food porn” greeted the onset of middle age and dreaded facial hair by bravely transforming herself into a skinny, hirsute ex-junkie.
“Who would have thought it was possible?” one Mire reader asked. “She went from goddess to oh-my-god. Life is so cruel as we get older but at least Nigella found a way to deal with it.”
