A multi-million euro initiative aimed at tackling obesity in children has recommended that parents and teachers publicly ridicule fat kids for their own good.
Other recommendations in the report by the HSE’s Controller of Fat Kids include making tubby children run alongside the car on shopping trips and setting killer dogs on them.
“This is about the welfare of fat kids,” a HSE spokesman said. “Obviously these initiatives will be handled sensitively with the children’s best interests at heart.”
