Taoiseach Enda Kenny entertained his fellow European leaders with a song as they prepared to sign the fiscal treaty in Brussels this morning.
“You’ll never bribe the Irish,” the Taoiseach sang to warm laughter and applause from his colleagues.
The traditional song made it clear that the Irish would never accept having their private and publicĀ debts cleared by the European Central Bank.
They also had no interest in tax concessions or tickets for Euro 2012.

I like this story. This is a good news story. It is very important that our fellow europeans love us. Its great that Enda sang just so long as there was no drink involved.
Keep up the work.
He refused a drink in case it constituted a bribe.
Good. Principles are important abroad. Just so long as he doesn’t bring them home with him.over and out.
